The College is open and all classes are running normally. We will continue to implement Covid Safe procedures in order to protect our students and staff.
Masks
Masks are not compulsory but staff, students and visitors are strongly encouraged to wear a mask indoors, especially when it is not possible to socially distance. Masks have been proven to reduce the transmission of Covid.
Air Purifiers
Air purifiers have been installed in all rooms in the school. The HEPA filters in these purifiers reduce the number of viruses and bacteria in the air.
Vaccinations
It is no longer compulsory for school staff or visitors to be vaccinated against Covid.
If your child has Covid
If your child has Covid, they must report this to the school and isolate for 7 days from the date of the positive test (RAT or PCR). They may return to school after this time if they are free from flu-like symptoms (sore throat, runny nose, cough, sore muscles, tiredness). There is no need to get a Covid test before returning.
If your child is a close contact
If your child is a close contact of a positive covid case (usually a family member in the same household), they may still attend school but must wear a mask at all times indoors and complete a RAT test each day for 7 days after the positive exposure.
If your child is a close contact, then catches Covid themselves, they must isolate for 7 days from the date of their positive test result.
RATs
The school has a supply of Rapid Antigen Tests which can be supplied to any student with symptoms or who is a close contact of a covid case.
School Tours
School tours are permitted.
Excursions
Students are permitted to attend excursions. Masks are compulsory on public transport, including school buses, and strongly encouraged in indoor situations.
